Use case · Game development

Make games
anyone can play from a link.

Lay out levels in the editor, write the game in JavaScript, and share one link. Players jump in on a Quest, a phone or a laptop — no app store, no download.

Why AllegoryXR

Built for game development.

Game logic in JavaScript

Scoring, collectibles, timers and spawning are A-Frame components and scene scripts — plain JavaScript on top of a 3D scene.

Play on Quest from a link

Players open the link in the Quest browser and tap Enter VR. No store review, no install, no build to sideload.

Your editor, your repo

Pull scene scripts into a folder, work in your own editor with version control, push back what changed — or let an AI agent help.

✦ AI-accelerated

Describe it. AI builds it.

Ask the assistant in your dashboard, or your own agent through the CLI or MCP. You review and publish.

Make a coin-collecting mini-game: ten coins around the island, a score in the corner, and a win message at ten.

  1. entities.createAdded ten coins in a ring, a score display, a hidden win message
  2. scripts.pushWrote coin.js — spin, award a point, disappear
  3. scripts.pushWrote score.js — count points, show the message at 10
  4. entities.updateUpdated: coin component attached to all ten coins

Done — playable. Open the scene in the editor, play it, then publish and send the link.

How it works

From idea to link in four steps.

1 · Build the level

Place shapes, models and lights in the editor at real scale.

2 · Write the logic

Add components and scripts in JavaScript — yourself or with an AI assistant.

3 · Playtest

Publish and play the link on a headset or phone straight away.

4 · Iterate

Pull, edit, push and republish — the link players have keeps working.

Under the hood

Game logic is just JavaScript

A collectible coin: it spins, and when the player clicks or points at it with a controller, it awards a point and disappears.

coin.js
AFRAME.registerComponent('coin', {
  init() {
    this.el.addEventListener('click', () => {
      this.el.sceneEl.emit('score', { points: 1 });
      this.el.remove();
    });
  },
  tick(time) {
    this.el.object3D.rotation.y = time / 500;
  }
});

// then: allegory entities update 12 --code-file coin.js

Questions

Game development, answered.

Can I make a VR game with AllegoryXR?

Yes — especially small, web-sized games: mini-games, game-jam entries, playable prototypes and interactive experiences. Game logic is JavaScript written as A-Frame components and scene scripts. For a large commercial game, a dedicated engine may still suit you better.

How do players play it on a Meta Quest?

Send them the link. They open it in the Meta Quest Browser and tap Enter VR — nothing to install and no store submission.

Can I write the code in my own editor?

Yes. The Allegory CLI pulls a scene’s scripts into a folder and pushes back what you change, so you can use your own editor and version control.

Can AI help write game logic?

Yes. Assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT can write A-Frame components, and agents can work on scenes through the MCP server.
